Hellfest 2023 / Slipknot
Words by Sian Edwards
Corey has never been shy about the fact he occasionally struggles. With a voice like his and the range he hits, it’s no wonder he enjoys to encourage the crowd to sing along and Hellfest didn’t hesitate. Slipknot played all the hits, Psychosocial and Duality beings a couple of the crowd favourites. With the clown still out of action due to some family issues, then band didn’t miss a thing, they were their crazy selfs, Very enjoyable. Drums particularly stood out with some interesting solos and the odd spot gymnastics on stage being a big hit at many rock festival. They know how to put on a show, guys turning on stage with masks that come from nightmares and prosthetic heads but somehow can pull off a ballad. Slipknot’s setlist for the evening was every hardcore’s dream all the classics and just plan out goodies. Rock out, jump and head bang to your hearts content.
