Hellfest 2023 / Pantera

The comeback that no one saw coming. After years of not hearing anything from the Pantera camp and after the passing of the two bros, there was little to nothing to get a version of Pantera back onstage. Enter 2023 and now we have Phil and Rex joined by Benante and Wylde. This incarnation pays tribute to the OGs in many ways but mainly in the interpretation of the original parts, Charlie is a clever choice but Zakk nails Dime sounds with ease (you can still hear Zakk’s touch though) His new signature guitar also nods to the famous Dean Dime signature. A classy touch from a classy fella. We are left then with a monster of a super group delivering Pantera tunes all night, they play all the classics plus a couple of deep cuts but it is with “Walk” that the crowd fall to its knees. Not the OGs but my goodness me they deliver like it’s the 90’s. Go see them asap and get a feel from one of the best metal bands of all time. Superb
