A Perfect Circle live at Brixton Academy (night 2)

Brixton Academy, London (4 June 2026)

On the second night of their sold-out London residency at Brixton Academy, A Perfect Circle delivered a performance that felt less like a concert and more like a carefully crafted artistic experience. From the opening moments, the atmosphere was immersive, with the band’s strict no-camera policy encouraging the audience to live entirely in the moment rather than through a screen.

That decision paid off. The crowd remained fully engaged throughout a set that balanced fan favourites with selections from Eat the Elephant. Tracks such as “Disillusioned” and “TalkTalk” resonated deeply, their themes feeling as relevant and powerful as ever. The band’s musicianship was flawless, creating layers of sound that ebbed and flowed with cinematic precision.

At the centre of it all stood Maynard James Keenan. Rather than dominating the performance, his voice became another instrument within the band’s sonic landscape. His technique was breathtaking—controlled, expressive and effortlessly beautiful. There were moments when the vocals seemed to weave through the music rather than sit above it, drawing the audience deeper into the experience. It was easy to lose yourself completely in the performance.

The connection between band and audience was palpable throughout the evening. Despite the visual restraint imposed by the no-phone policy, the atmosphere felt remarkably intimate for a venue of Brixton Academy’s size. Then came the night’s surprise. As the set drew to a close, Maynard lifted the camera restriction and invited fans to film the final two songs. Phones suddenly illuminated the venue, capturing a moment that felt genuinely earned rather than routine.

A Perfect Circle have always excelled at creating immersive live shows, but this performance felt particularly special. The combination of exceptional musicianship, a thoughtfully constructed setlist, and a crowd fully invested in the moment made for a rare and unforgettable evening.

In an era where many concerts are experienced through smartphone screens, A Perfect Circle reminded everyone what it means to be truly present. A masterpiece of a performance and, for many in attendance, a genuine once-in-a-lifetime gig.
