As Summer falls into Autumn and the temperature drops a peg or two, an album of mostly exquisite sun-kissed beach bidding music is just what the doctor of musical vibes prescribes and is pleasurably found in The Explorers Club release.

Being the brainchild of mainstay Jason Brewer, there’s an effervescent sure hand on the tiller as familiar tropes of 60s influenced hooks are reinvented into something fresh as a daisy as evidenced on One Drop Of Rain’s rainbow vibes.

Elsewhere, opener Ruby and Love So Fine bounce along jauntily on this music for pleasure adventures in 60s sounds.

With a palette of the joyful mixing with the melancholy, especially on the epic Look To The Horizon, both the expressive and the introspective flourish on this record to breezily brighten up the dark days ahead.
