The Jimi Hendrix Experience: Los Angeles Forum April 26, 1969 – Now available

The Jimi Hendrix Experience: Los Angeles Forum April 26, 1969 – Press Screening for the imminent release.

A fascinating early insight into the newly mixed and mastered Jimi Hendrix release in Dolby Atmos at London’s Dolby Headquarters in Soho Square.

Performed and recorded Live at the Los Angeles Forum on April 26th 1969 the full concert has never been previously available officially.

With a new Eddie Kramer mix it’s never sounded better.

The evening started with an insightful Q&A with Eddie Kramer, Janie Hendrix and John McDermott regarding the recording, the mix and the release of the new product. The Q&A preceded the viewing which several members of the press found a little odd as we had no opportunity to field questions regarding the concert and it’s mix post viewing. An opportunity lost some concurred.

Casually left on the tables of Dolby for us to peruse were copies of the recent publication of ‘Jimi: The Official 80th Birthday Edition’ put together by Janie Hendrix and John McDermott. The perfect coffee table addition.
