Nazareth are to reissue the third set of six albums on deluxe, uniquely coloured vinyl that includes ‘2XS’, ‘Sound Elixir’, ‘Cinema’, ‘No Jive’, ‘Move Me’ and ‘‘Snaz’. They will be released on 11 October 2019 through BMG.
In 2018, Nazareth released their 24th studio album ‘Tattooed On My Brain’ and the 50th Anniversary ‘Loud and Proud! Super Deluxe Box Set’. Both were met with huge acclaim from fans and critics alike - so much so that to meet demand, a selection of collectable coloured vinyl of their best-loved albums have been released throughout 2019. These six special reissues follow the release of albums ‘Razamanaz’, ‘Loud ‘N’ Proud’, ‘Rampant’, ‘Hair Of The Dog’, ‘Expect No Mercy’, ‘No Mean City’ ‘Nazareth’, ‘Exercise’, ‘Close Enough For Rock ‘n’ Roll’, ‘Play ‘N’ The Game’, ‘Malice In Wonderland’ and‘The Fool Circle’.
Formed in 1968, Nazareth rose from the pubs and clubs of their native Scotland to become one of the most successful rock bands in the world, notching up a string of hit records along the way. Hard-working, honest, sincere, and unaffected by the vagaries of fashion, this band of the people have influenced many great artists. Half a century later, they have sold in excess of 20 million albums around the globe and continue to play sold-out tours around the world.
The third batch of six will be released on 11 October. Each will be a single disc with the exception of ‘’Snaz’ which is double. They will be in its own unique vibrant colour, with reworked artwork based on the original sleeves and new, bespoke disc labels. The audio for each is taken from the 2011 remaster.
The third six albums are as follows:
‘2XS’, on aqua vinyl. It is the bands' 13th studio album, it was originally released 1982. It includes the key tracks ‘Dream On’, ‘Love Leads To Madness’ and ‘Take The Rap’.
‘Sound Elixir’ on peach vinyl. It is the bands’ 14th studio album, it was originally released 1983. It includes the key tracks ‘Where Are You Now’, ‘Whippin’ Boy and ‘Milk and Honey’.
‘Cinema’ on white vinyl. It is the bands’ 16th studio album, it was originally released 1986. It includes the key tracks ‘Just Another Heartache’, ‘Hit The Fan’ and ‘Other Side Of You’.
‘No Jive’ on clear vinyl. It is the bands' 18th studio album, it was originally released 1991. It includes the key tracks ‘Every Time It Rains’, ‘Tell Me That You Love Me’ and ‘Right Between
The Eyes’.
‘Move Me’ on burgundy vinyl. The bands' 19th studio album it was originally released 1994. It includes the key tracks ‘Steam Roller’, ‘Move Me’ and ‘Burning Down’.
‘‘Snaz’ is a double record with a green and orange vinyl. This is the bands infamous double live album and was originally released 1981 and includes the key tracks ‘Razamanaz’ and ‘Hair Of The Dog’.
