James Walsh is set to release his brand new e.p ‘The Quiet Ones’ on all platforms on September 27th
‘The Quiet Ones’ is the second release of the year for James, following his second solo album ‘Tiger On The Bridge’. lead single ‘Dream To Weave’ is a beautifully crafted number which displays the true qualities and characteristics of its writer.
“With ‘The Quiet Ones’ I wanted to create something as raw & direct as possible. I think recording them in my bedroom really added to the intimacy and feel. Like the songs became the soundtrack and a part of my life rather than these more thought out pieces, often completed weeks or months later in a nice studios. I still love that process but there was something exciting about going in the other direction with these tunes.
I hope it’s the start of something & I’m intrigued to know the places my music can go if this approach goes down well & I can keep writing songs and getting them out there when they’re fresh.” - James Walsh
James began his career singing in the multi-million selling band Starsailor which saw both their debut ‘Love is Here’ and 2003 follow up ‘Silence is Easy’ reach the number 2 spot in the official UK album charts. Starsailor went on to sell over 3 million albums worldwide and shared the stage with U2, The Rolling Stones, The Killers and The Police.
James’s first solo album ‘Turning Point’ was released in 2014 with its follow up ‘Tiger On The Tracks’ being released earlier this year.
As well as being a proven singer-songwriter in his own right, James has also written for Eliza Doolittle, Melanie C, Suzanne Vega, and Professor Green.
