The Fabulous Poodles - Mirror Stars, Tony De Meur and Bobby Valentino on the top dogs' return.

As part of an extended interview, with Andy Rawll for Decibel Report, multi-talented writers, performers and musicians, Tony De Meur and Bobby Valentino talk about Poodle past, present and future, including tales of Des O'Connor, Buddy Holly, The Young Ones, The Who, Dire Straits and Deptford.

Indeed, in the wake of the successful release of ‘Mirror Stars’ the 3-CD retrospective box-set of the fondly-remembered pre-new wave band, Tony and Bobby are reanimating the band for a one-off show on 29th November 2019 at Nell's Jazz and Blues club in West London.

With the original rhythm section of Bryn Burrows and Richie Robertson unavailable, two long-standing musical associates from Tony's golden band Ronnie and The Rex, Richard and Pete complete the line-up for what promises to be a fabulous evening, and perhaps the beginning of a new chapter in the story of this unique and influential band.

At the end of the interview, Tony and Bobby performed acoustic versions of two of the best known Fabulous Poodles songs: 'Mirror Star' and 'Suicide Bridge'.

Tony also previewed a new song 'The Ballad of Cellphone Sal'.

With thanks to Mark Fuller and the staff of the Karma Sanctum Hotel for their rock ‘n’ roll hospitality and supreme customer service.
